Titled ‘Farmer’s Wife’, the inspiration came from a series of American magazines, published between 1897 and 1939 that advised women about farming, housekeeping and cooking.  Whilst examining this narrow framework, where women were encouraged to wear work-appropriate clothing, the designer looked to his British heritage for inspiration.

The 10-look collection has been created to encapsulate historic and rural references with feminine influences. The materials and colours have been meticulously chosen; rugged Shetland wool, earthy linen and durable dark wool represent masculinity and utility whilst the tulle, silk and white fabrics bring nuance and unfiltered self-expression.
